The Good Hope Baptist Church, organized May 19, 1912, is an integral part of Newton County’s rich history.
Utilizing the principals and inspirations set forth by our forefathers, we have also adopted a motto of “Teaching the Gospel, Transforming Minds, Sharing Hope, and Ministering to the Needs of the People” which is enabling us to move forth into the 21st Century.
Services are held every Sunday at 11:00 am and Early Morning worship on the 2nd & 4th Sundays at 8:00 am for those that want to get a head start on their day. Various ministries are also available to anyone desiring to be involved in the up building of God’s kingdom; all that’s required is a desire and commitment.
The church of the Lord Jesus Christ is the greatest institution that the world has ever known. We serve a living Christ that has promised to be with us through the ages and that the “gates of hell shall not prevail against it”. We, as representatives of Him must continue to be servants of the gospel by the gift of God’s grace. For it is Christ’s intent through the church, that His manifold wisdom be made known to everyone.
